Honest answers
Everything a reasonable person wants to know before buying.
Can I use this on Amazon / Netflix / OpenAI?
Yes — anywhere online that accepts Visa. Streaming subs, AI subscriptions, VPNs, Steam, GitHub, almost any SaaS. For physical goods on Amazon in strict regions (Prime membership, Alexa setup), it may ask for an address matching the card issuer — plan for that or use a different payment method for those specific cases.
Is this a reloadable card?
No — it’s one-time use. You load it with crypto once, spend it down to zero. That’s actually a privacy feature: merchants can’t drain the card beyond its initial balance, and you can’t be charged for forgotten subscriptions.
Do I need to sign up anywhere or verify my identity?
No. There’s no form, no document upload, no email verification at a card issuer. You buy the card through Nomada, pay in crypto, receive the card details. Done.
What crypto can I pay with?
Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, USDT, Solana — any of the networks Nomada accepts. One payment covers the full card.
How fast is delivery?
Usually under five minutes from payment confirmation. Card number, CVV, and expiry appear in your Nomada account the moment the on-chain transaction confirms and the issuer releases the card.
Can I use it for hotel deposits or car rentals?
No. Prepaid cards can’t do auth holds, which hotels, car rentals, and gas pumps rely on. For actual travel, book through Nomada’s hotel or flight checkout — same crypto flow, far better experience.
What happens to any unspent balance?
It stays on the card until the expiry date (usually 1–3 years from issue). Spend it on anything that takes Visa online.
Cards are issued under existing open-loop prepaid rails. Nomada doesn't issue the cards and doesn't hold user funds. Visa is a trademark of Visa Inc. Issuer region: Australia.
